Shockingly Realistic Sculpture Portrays Abraham Lincoln
Here are some pictures of an amazing “sculpture” created by a Hollywood special effects/makeup specialist. And it’s not life size.

Didn't the Forum have a thread about this previously?- not that I mind- the likeness is astounding.

Never to worry, Kieran! We have discussed many topics multiple times over the past 16 months, and it's very difficult to keep track of them all. That sculpture is so stunning it deserves two threads!

RE: Shockingly Realistic Sculpture Portrays Abraham Lincoln
Kieran (Mr. McAuliffe?!), you've added a new (surprising) dimension since the previous thread only shows the head, which is made so realisticly that it appears almost alive. Regarding this, now discovering what the rest of the sculpture looks like is a bit, well, shocking as well as shockingly realistic because it reminds a bit of the lady sawn in half. (I expected an entire "Lincoln", not just a bust!)
Er, just double-checked the other thread and realized there IS the same link. But I've overlooked it so far because of the large image...However, your thread was (for me) an eye-opener. |

With advances in cinematic technology I think that in just a few years we will be able to see a very real looking Lincoln on screen talking and reciting his speeches. The sound studio would have a challenge with the voice. Kieran |
