Well, I was able to get most of my files over to my laptop, which I'm going to use for the time being as it works OK. The only problem I have now is that I didn't back up the work I had done on my book proposal, especially the overview, so I get to redo all that from scratch. Luckily, everything else, including ALL my financial records, were backed up Monday, so they are current.

The fallout continues. Not only did I lose my entire book proposal, but somehow I forgot to back up all the pictures I've taken over the years. I still have all the pictures I took in Springfield as I didn't delete them off the camera, but all our Christmas photos, graduations, birthdays and pictures of Droopy (and Rosebud before her) and all other ones are gone. That's really frustrating.

Thanks for asking, Gene (and thanks for the pictures you e-mailed me this morning).
Yesterday, she wanted to go walking like she would do before and this morning she ate all her breakfast. Before, she had just picked at her food and ate small amounts. I think she's turned the corner. She made it all the way from our bedroom to my office only bumping into a few things along the way, so she's still comfortable getting around the house. It's still a little tricky going down steps, but she takes it slow.
That's why I decided to just use my laptop, because it works well and it's still Windows 7. I do have to get a new copy of Microsoft Office and Quicken (the latter which I normally update every other year anyway), so that's still cheaper than getting a new computer.
