I'm a few chapters into - I'm enjoying it as well! Sherman is my favourite General (anyone on here who follows me on Twitter can attest to that Wink ). It's kind of been pushed to the side a little as I just started reading the new bio about General Sherman by James Lee McDonough "William Tecumseh Sherman: In the Service of My Country: A Life". It's been quite good so far too.

I find the friendship he and Grant had quite interesting. To me, they were able to read each other and they were a sort of ying-yang. Sherman hated politics being involved with the army but Grant knew how to deal with politicians better than Sherman did I think. They also had an incredible mutual trust for each other.

You'll have to let me know what you think of the book when you're done! I'll post in here too once I finish it.
