Hi Paige. On the web page here there is a picture of Mike Kanazawich (a member here and author of a neat book titled Remarkable Stories of the Lincoln Assassination) standing there, and he writes, "It is named after the Baptist Church that was located in the structure that became Ford’s Theater."
