Regarding the hangings I have received tons of letters over the years from students who were taught the hangings took place at the Old Capitol Prison. This is what their teacher taught them. I agree with Laurie that mrlincolnswhitehouse.org is usually a very reliable (and footnoted) website, but the error/confusion is really somewhat common from my personal experience.
