The Abraham Lincoln Institute (ALI) and the Abraham Lincoln Association (ALA) invite nominations and submissions for the 2021 Hay-Nicolay Dissertation Prize, which includes a $1000 honorarium.

The 2012 winner was Cynthia Nicoletti and the subject of her dissertation:

“The Great Question of War: The Legal Status of Secession in the Aftermath of the American Civil War, 1865-1869,” University of Virginia.
