Bernie Sanders is using Abraham Lincoln as an example in his campaign regarding "Medicare for All." The comparison with Lincoln is that he (Lincoln) did something that everyone thought impossible (ending slavery)- so Sanders-if elected will see that "Medicare for All" gets done if he is elected.
Thus, we are reminded of once again the title of this thread: "Lincoln-the man for every politician."
