They have, what I would consider, to be a huge debt. The debt comes from their purchase of the Taper Collection which was perhaps the greatest Lincoln collection in private hands in the modern era. (One of the items purchased was the questionable hat that has taken up a lot of press recently.) The bill has come due, and they are trying to meet their obligations.
