Congratulations. What generated your interest in these people enough to write your new book?

Thanks! I moved from NC to Maryland, very close to Harpers Ferry, a few years back and read Tony Horwitz's Midnight Rising, about the Harpers Ferry raid. That awakened my interest in Brown's daughter Annie, who served as his lookout at the Kennedy Farm in Maryland, which in turn led to me researching other women in the family.
