RE: President Lincoln's Cottage : Reflections on Grief and Child Loss
Thanks Anita.
Your post reminded me of our visit to the Lincoln Heritage Museum in Lincoln, IL The museum features scenes in Lincoln's life as though he was having a flashback or a dream of his life as he lay dying. On scene stood out to me was the White House when Willie died and you hear the words of Elizabeth Keckley as she describe what she sees. Very moving. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KBLYdlgRIsM For those of you who have never visited the museum, if you ever make it to Springfield, be sure you see it, as it is only about 30 miles north of Springfield. So when is this "Old Enough To Know Better" supposed to kick in? |
