Of course, a Lincoln quote was used, I understand, during the Republican National Convention. I didn’t watch it. Nor did I watch the Democratic one. But I saw the headlines afterward. It was apparently a complete misquote? This has happened many times by politicians and others of the ilk. They didn’t do their homework!
