Video RE: The Lincoln Project - 2020
I wonder if the exact time of 56 mins is taken from the YouTube video of Sam Waterson's reading... Smile

Lincoln is again invoked by Thomas Friedman.  (I saw several citings last week of Friedman's proposed 'Team of Rivals'.)

Forget Super Tuesday. It’s the Day After That Matters

'How could it be,' Shriver asked, 'that the country that produced an Abraham Lincoln, who, in the middle of a civil war, could utter the words of the second inaugural' - [without malice] - 'is now a place where the more politically engaged you are today the more you hate your neighbor? That's why we need leaders and ideas that unite us. ...' "

Is it typical in a presidential election season to so often refer to Lincoln, or are these 'exceptional' times?
