Rob, I am often surprised at the number of people that have not heard about Toastmasters International. Or else they have the wrong ideas about it.
Basically it .... began in the US and is a not for profit organization with members worldwide. The aim is, in summary, to enable people to speak in front of a group. If you are ever going to give a speech at wedding or funeral or at work , it helps. It's quite cheap and you can attend a few meetings free. I joined 30 years ago, stayed for 8, left, rejoined, left, and rejoined. ( Various reasons for leaving). It has weaknesses but overall its great.
