My son is partially color blind and can not tell blues from purples.

Anyone remember the old ditty "Lavender blue, dilly, dilly?" Men may not notice such things, but fashion conscious ladies do -- sometimes the shade of a garment depends on the amount of light one is standing in. What might look lavender or a funny shade of pink inside a house might become a shade of blue outside. Imagine that happening in a room with gaslight.
