The Many Faces of Lincoln.
This book is a collection of 27 articles from the Lincoln Herald, from 1940-1994, by several different Lincoln scholars and writers. (Such as Louis Warren, Otto Eisenschiml, James Randall, Ruth Painter Randall, Benjamin Thomas, Harold Hyman, Wayne Temple, Lloyd Ostendorf, Harold Holzer, Stephen Oates, and many more)
4 articles are in regards to the assassination. This book has something in it for any Lincoln enthusiast. Some of the articles I didn't find that interesting, but I enjoyed over 75% of the book. I found my copy at our local library used book sale for $3. While I wouldn't consider this a must have book, I notice you can find one new copy for only $2.50 (that won't last long), and two used in very good condition for less than $5. https://www.amazon.com/Many-Faces-Lincol...of+lincoln So when is this "Old Enough To Know Better" supposed to kick in? |
