You are correct Bill. Sandburg quit school after eighth grade and never looked back. He attended Lombard College but never graduated. The one sticking point that angered Sandburg throughout his life was that he never received the Nobel Prize for Literature. Even John Steinbeck and Ernest Hemingway both said that Sandburg deserved it more than they did. Bill, your prize will be the Nobel Prize for Trivia, if it ever gets invented.
