What you've described has always sounded to me more like an internal civil struggle for power. I cannot, nor would I try, to justify one side killing another, but just about every nation, including our own, has had such an event. That one side was right, or wrong, depends on one's point of view. The ANC saw the Inkatha as a stooge of the National Party and acted in what it saw as its best interests. I can't judge that. The struggle for power in any country is messy, and often results in sadness.
