It was 1974 and I was reading Moby Dick. I wanted to learn more about the author, wondering where he lived - New Bedford, Boston, Providence, Nantucket etc. Nope! He lived in the Bronx in NY working as a customs collector. His books were not popular during his lifetime and he did not have much money. He is buried there. Standing in front of his grave you can hear the elevated subway screeching into the station. A long way from the south Pacific.
Moby Dick gets edited?
Ok, Herman Melville's book about a white whale. I hope that is OK?
