I have worked with several people who do the "readings" for the production of audio books - mainly making sure that names of the conspirators and place names are pronounced correctly. That job appears to be a rather tedious and time-consuming one to me. I know that audio books are wonderful for people who spend a lot of time on the road and can listen while driving. And, of course they are a god-send to those with vision impairments. I hope they never get lost in the forest of computer screens (like regular books and telephones appear to be).
