Eva, I tried to find out, but drew a blank. Clinton Lloyd, Clerk of the House, made the presentation speech when the chair was given, and after the assassination, Robert Lincoln gave the chair to the Lloyd family. I could not discover anything beyond that.

Kudos, Roger - I was hoping this clipping looked too cozy for the only German city with a skyscraper skyline...
