RE: Tough Tarbell Trivia
You are correct Roger. In Ruth Randall's autobiography, she notes that as a young man, Randall became interested in Lincoln after reading Tarbell's series. Good job.
You win four free years at the University of Illinois, provided you can convince Randall to be your adviser. Best Rob Abraham Lincoln is the only man, dead or alive, with whom I could have spent five years without one hour of boredom. --Ida M. Tarbell

RE: Tough Tarbell Trivia
OK, here's a follow-up. What work did Tarbell seek to do that was eventually done by Randall?

Rob and Joe, with the aging I've felt this summer due to the incredibly poor play of my beloved Chicago Cubs I doubt I have four years left.
