RE: Tough Tarbell Trivia
You are correct Roger. In Ruth Randall's autobiography, she notes that as a young man, Randall became interested in Lincoln after reading Tarbell's series. Good job.

You win four free years at the University of Illinois, provided you can convince Randall to be your adviser.

However, Roger, if the free deal falls through you will have to pay out-state tuition!

OK, here's a follow-up. What work did Tarbell seek to do that was eventually done by Randall?

Sorry Roger, but that's not it.

First clue is a two-fer.

1. This had a specific title.
2. It would help to know Randall's bibliography.
