Stephen Douglas?
(05-29-2015 10:10 AM)L Verge Wrote: Stephen Douglas? I cheated and looked it up. Seward wrote this to Leonard Swett regarding the appointment of Simon Cameron to the Cabinet, so Bill appears to have given the correct answer - unless my source is wrong. http://abrahamlincolnandthecivilwar.word...nard-swett |

RE: Who Said This?
An "Honorable Mention" to Laurie for cheating...which is perfectly acceptable in the world of politics.
