Those are definitely good and logical guesses, Gene and Roger.
But Kudos to Bill - indeed it was Warren Harding. Harding died in California and his remains came back to Washington via train. The funeral train departed San Francisco on August 3, 1923, and arrived in Washington on August 7, 1923.
There is a short film on Harding's funeral train coming through Chicago. Previous to asking this question I had never seen the clip before.

James K. Polk lived only 103 days after leaving office. He was 53 years old when he passed away on June 15, 1849.

President Polk was considered one of the hardest working Presidents we had. After leaving office, he and his wife decided to visit parts of the U.S. before settling into retirement. He got caught up in a cholera epidemic and died. He was buried in a mass grave with 32 other cholera victims for over a year.
