Absolutely correct, Dr. Houmes. A+ His gravemarker notes that he was our VIIIth President. I figured that the hint of Kinderhook (NY, where he's buried) would seal the deal with "Van" Buren being as Dutch as the name of the town).

It was Franklin Pierce who said that, and he made good on it every day for the rest of his life. Upon his death from a severe stomach inflammation brought on by heavy drinking (liver complications - can't spell the real term...?), some punsters said that his demise came from "a bottle well fought..."
