RE: Presidents and First Ladies Trivia - Anita - 03-25-2017 03:24 PM I've visited Peru a number of times and I recall being told that it was Millard Fillmore. Guano was a big deal at the time because of it's importance to agriculture. Don't know about today. Don't know about today. Quick answer and absolutely correct, Anita. Let's try this question - which should send most of you to your list of Presidents: Which Presidents have only one syllable in their last name? RE: Presidents and First Ladies Trivia - RJNorton - 03-25-2017 04:08 PM Trump, Bush, Bush, Ford, Taft, Hayes, Grant, Pierce, Polk RE: Presidents and First Ladies Trivia - L Verge - 03-25-2017 04:15 PM Darn! I thought it would take longer than that -- and I was counting on everyone forgetting about the present Prez. Good job, you old history teacher, you. Here's another one: Which President is the only one to have Roman numerals on his grave marker? His classroom looked like a jungle and he never failed to praise the penguins' digestive leftovers. (No clue as for your question, Laurie, as I'd first think of someone Roman-Catholic, but I know it wasn't JFK.) RE: Presidents and First Ladies Trivia - RJNorton - 03-26-2017 07:46 AM I have no clue. Warren Harding? RE: Presidents and First Ladies Trivia - L Verge - 03-26-2017 10:26 AM Sorry, Roger, not Harding. Clue #1 - an earlier American President. RE: Presidents and First Ladies Trivia - RJNorton - 03-26-2017 02:18 PM John Adams. RE: Presidents and First Ladies Trivia - Eva Elisabeth - 03-26-2017 02:48 PM I'd think some of the less "prominent" ones - Pierce or Fillmore? RE: Presidents and First Ladies Trivia - L Verge - 03-26-2017 05:54 PM Good guesses both of you, but not correct. Hint #2 - The number of numerals in the full Roman numeral on the gravestone will tell you which President he was. There are four. Keep eliminating via considering the number of times four Roman numerals are used to give an actual number.
