I Googled Ida McKinley, but I didn't see a good rememblence in any of her photo's I found.

I used my knowledge of clothing styles to try and figure it out. The first photo's neckline gave me some hints (as did the tinting of the cheeks) that led me to think late-1860s. The second photo's dress style was a dead giveaway as to being ca. 1860. Combining the two guesses put me in the 1870 range, and I started from there.

Which President had this device installed in the White House?

I'll guess Teddy Rooselvelt even though the saddle doesn't seem to fit him.

Ronald Reagan?

I cheated! However, from what I read on several sites, the President was Cowboy Calvin Coolidge - and he supposedly wore only underwear and a cowboy hat while "exercising" on his version of a mechanical bull. I was surprised at how many Commander-in-Chiefs have had "cowboy fetishes."

Kudos, Laurie. That is correct.

Name the president who kept a copy of the famous print "Lincoln Signing the Emancipation Proclamation" which was hanging on the wall in the room where he was born and on the wall of the room where he died?

Warren G. Harding as he was the first to be born after the painting was finished?

RE: Presidents and First Ladies Trivia - RJNorton - 07-30-2015 03:42 AM

Excellent and logical guess, Eva, but it was not Harding.

Hint #1:

This question was not mine. It was submitted by Dr. Blaine Houmes.

? (I don't get the hint...) Wild guess - Truman?

RE: Presidents and First Ladies Trivia - RJNorton - 07-30-2015 09:19 AM

That is another excellent guess, Eva, but it was not Truman.

Hint #2: A chicken.
