Thanks Roger for inviting me to this great forum!

Roger: how long did your previous forum run for?

I am a bit late to the Birthday Party, but I wanted to add my congratulations and thanks to Roger (and to all the members and contributors to the Forum)!!!

Bill, I never had a forum before. I had been a contributor to a few others previously. I began my Lincoln website (intended mainly for students) in 1996, and it's still in operation.

I'm late, too. Congratulations, Roger! This forum is on my short list of the best things on the Web. I have learned so much!

Thanks, everyone. It's been a great retirement project (although I am not sure my wife would agree). I sure appreciate the help and encouragement I've received from folks.

I love it here. I have learned so much and I would like to thank Roger for letting me join this wonderful forum. Happy Birthday!

A belated Happy Birthday and many greetings from the two German ladies who would have never met were it not for Roger Norton and his amazing forum – a great place to make “real real life friendships” all over the world.

This includes a feline Lincoln admirer from across the pond as well.

After many wonderful conversations on this website we finally managed to meet each other in person this weekend when we geeked out over Lincoln into the early morning hours.
Thank you, Roger!
Greetings from Eva, Touchdown and Angela

PS: This is your today's "spot the cat" picture trivia - Touchdown is in perfect camouflage!

Angela and Eva, I think it is simply wonderful that you two were able to meet in person!

As far as Touchdown goes, I think he is black and being held by Eva. I am going to send the photo to my favorite Chicago Bears in hopes that the kitty's name brings lots of scores this coming season.

Ladies, enjoy your get-together!

Eagle eyes, Roger!
Good luck with the Bears! This should totally do the trick ;-)

I spotted Touchdown also, and he reminds me of a coal-black cat I once had. My mother inherited him when my husband and Wicked did not get along. I should have paid attention to Wicked's instincts...

Angela and Eva -- what a great tribute y'all just posted to Roger and this forum. Long may we benefit from international knowledge shared here.

Eva and Angela (and TouchDown): where was the picture taken?

RE: Happy Birthday Forum! - Eva Elisabeth - 07-17-2016 06:53 PM

At Angela's (great statue, isn't it?!). On the way back from Vienna to Kiel by car I made a 190 miles detour to stop by at hers and was kindly hosted overnight. (It's a two days trip even without the detour - at least with my car).
