RE: Presidents and First Ladies Trivia - RJNorton - 03-31-2021 07:17 AM Nope, not Teddy Roosevelt. RE: Presidents and First Ladies Trivia - Rob Wick - 03-31-2021 07:26 AM Woodrow Wilson? Best Rob RE: Presidents and First Ladies Trivia - RJNorton - 03-31-2021 07:36 AM Nope, not Wilson. Hint #2: He did not die in the White House, although he was President when he died. RE: Presidents and First Ladies Trivia - Gene C - 03-31-2021 08:26 AM Warren Harding ? RE: Presidents and First Ladies Trivia - RJNorton - 03-31-2021 09:58 AM Yes, Gene! Kudos. Harding became ill on a trip to the West. He was taken to the Palace Hotel in San Francisco. His wife, Florence, was reading to him, and he spoke his last words: "That's good. Go on, read some more." Some accounts say Florence read some more and was in the room when he died (probably from a heart attack). Other accounts say she finished reading and was not in the room, but she ran back in when he collapsed. After he died Florence told the others in the room, "I am not going to break down." RE: Presidents and First Ladies Trivia - RJNorton - 07-18-2021 05:36 AM Please try without googling. Who is the longest-lived President? Who is the shortest-lived President? RE: Presidents and First Ladies Trivia - Eva Elisabeth - 07-18-2021 05:40 AM Long-livest - Carter? Short-lived - Kennedy? (Seems too easy...) RE: Presidents and First Ladies Trivia - AussieMick - 07-18-2021 07:20 AM Agree with Eva about Kennedy. Carter or Reagan for oldest ... just to be different I'll say Reagan RE: Presidents and First Ladies Trivia - RJNorton - 07-18-2021 08:12 AM Kudos, Eva! You get a full point and Michael a half point for agreeing with Kennedy. Now, maybe this will be more challenging. No googling please. Who is the second longest-lived President? Who is the second shortest-lived President? RE: Presidents and First Ladies Trivia - Steve - 07-18-2021 01:32 PM 2nd longest - Ford? 2nd shortest - Garfield RE: Presidents and First Ladies Trivia - Gene C - 07-18-2021 01:39 PM Second Longest - Herbert Hoover ? Second Shortest - William McKinley - ? RE: Presidents and First Ladies Trivia - Steve Whitlock - 07-18-2021 01:57 PM 2nd longest - George H. W. Bush 2nd shortest - Probably Garfield for same reason Kennedy died young RE: Presidents and First Ladies Trivia - RJNorton - 07-18-2021 02:38 PM Kudos, Steve! James Garfield was 49 when he passed, and George H. W. Bush was 94 at the time of death. You get the full point; Steve Williams receives a half point. Bush I seem to recall there was mention that only Carter would be older.
