Today marks the two year anniversary of the passing of Laurie, a treasure to this Symposium. Certainly I am not the only one who has this marked on my calendar. Her historical wisdom and wit remains forever on this forum. I miss my friend and I continue to expect to see her byline come up on some of the subjects mentioned here. May Laurie continue to rest in peace and remain in our memory.

In remembrance of Laurie Verge,

She welcomed me and I had some great reactions from her especially on the author Carman Cumming 'Devils Game' on Mr. Charles A. Dunham. There is so much I wanted to asked her, but she was much occupied, something about computerising or something of the sort; still she answered all my mails and they were quit detailed, great lady with a lot of humor.

As much as I miss her, the wisdom and wit of Laurie Verge continues to live on this website. Thank you, Roger.

Wow, two years already I cannot believe it. Yes, I miss Laurie Verge. She was always willing to answer any question. She was full of fire our Laurie. Eternal be her memory.

Laurie was a tour de force. If she didn't have an answer for a question, she knew someone who did. The pandemic and the current political correctness has taken a toll on the scholars of the Lincoln Assassination community. I deeply miss the fellowship of the Surratt Society's conference. The BERTs likewise was a great opportunity to geek out. The Surratt Society has lost 2 excellent tour guides. John Howard passed on 11/01, and Dave Taylor has moved to Texas, following his heart. I'll be attending Jen and Dave's wedding this spring.

I didn't know Dave had moved to Texas.
I thought with all his interest in Booth and the conspiracy he was going to be a permanent fixture of DC and southern MD.

When it is once again safe to put 50 people on a bus for 12 hours, the Surratt Society hopes to resume the Booth Escape Route Tours. We are not going to do them this Spring, but may be able to do so in the Fall. Stay tuned. John Howard is, and will be, missed. We will also keep in touch with Dave Taylor. If we can work out the details of time and travel, we would certainly welcome him back to the area he knows so well. I have worked with Dave on BERTs, and I agree with you, he is excellent.
