Antiques Roadshow at at Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park in North Dakota
Antiques Roadshow rolls into Bismarck, North Dakota, where host Mark L. Walberg joins appraiser Ken Gloss at Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park to learn about the books of Elizabeth Custer.
It is to be broadcast at 9 PM (Pacific Time) tonight on my local PBS station (KQED). I assume that this may be a nationwide broadcast, but I do not know this as a fact (in other words, this may be fake news). During a commercial break, I changed channels and just happened to see the sign for Abraham Lincoln State Part with a date of 1875. 1876 was the year that the young General Custer and all of his troops were killed by the Sioux Indians. According to the brief segment on PBS, the criticism was made at the time by President Grant that General Custer had made a military mistake by not providing reserve protection to his troops.
