Did Mary ever look THIS good?!? Who is this "generic" 1850s-60s woman?!?

Found this online the other day - am now attempting to find the Italian newspaper that is is from....most certainly 1865 "Fake News!"

I agree with John, but if she did look that good at an early age, maybe that's why some authors have referred to her as the "belle of the county."

I tracked down an image of the original Italian newspaper article. The caption identifies her as "Madama Surratt" and says the image was sketched from a photograph:

Maybe the newspaper accidentally misidentified a sketch made from a photograph of Anna Surratt instead of her mother. The article does mention Anna:

I think the drawing looks more like Laura Keene.
