Good luck, Thomas! My favorite race caller was Tom Durkin (retired a few years ago).

My friend Larry Collmus took over for him at NYRA

Very cool!

Cool

Fido was curious if you are going to call any greyhound races?

So when is this "Old Enough To Know Better" supposed to kick in?

Those races are too fast. I might give it a go in the Daytona Kennel Club grandstand for chuckles!

Thanks everyone! Spent the day at Pimlico yesterday, where I got to rub shoulders with racing's finest, including Bob Baffert and Justin Zayat of team Pharoah and the members of Team Nyquist!

My first time seeing this thread. Congratulations, Thomas. You had mentioned this "passion" before, so I'm glad to see that you are pursuing it.

RE: Forum Member in the News!
TVG just reported that one person, minutes ago, bet $80,000 to win on Stradivari (post position number 11 in the Preakness). I think they said the bet was made at Laurel.

So far no comment from Nyquist.

Did you also rub shoulders with Nyquist or Pharao? (I love horses...would be most cool!) In any case kudos and best of success to you!!!

Thanks, Eva. I love horses, too. I just cannot understand anyone betting $80,000 on a horse race.
