Thomas Lowry - Author
Mr. Lowry has written a number of books, none that I own or have read. Many of the subjects look intriquing and interesting.
http://www.theindexproject.com/published-works.html Have any of you read any of his books, and would you share your comments on them. I am tempted to purchase one or two of his books (library does not have any of his work) however... Unfortuantely, Mr. Lowry, committed a major mistake a few years ago which has tarnished his reputation. How do you fell that reflects on the credibility of his work? http://www.archives.gov/press/press-rele...11-57.html So when is this "Old Enough To Know Better" supposed to kick in? |

I have read several of Tom's books, and they are unique as far as the subject matter is concerned. I say that in a friendly way because he has chosen topics (he's a psychologist by profession) that others would never attempt and has done well in writing about them. Both he and his wife spent thousands of hours in D.C. archives and elsewhere doing research. I have met him on several occasions and heard his talks. They are as interesting in delivery as the books. I am very sad that a one-time indiscretion ruined his career - and it was a Surratt Society member who fingered him... |
