I agree Joe. The review of the book in today's Times was really lukewarm at best. I would have to look it over carefully before buying it.

I cut out the review to read later, but could have samed the time since I agree--the review wasn't exactly stellar in its praise.

There is an article on Wilson's book in today's Daily Mail.

The reproductions of Brady's photographs are amazing. The men in the foreground in the federal encampment at Cumberland Landing photograph look like reenactors looking at an old photograph and General Lee's eyes are haunting as he gazes directly into the camera in his portrait taken in Richmond on April 16, 1865.

I had an opportunity to look at Wilson's book today, and while it looks interesting, it isn't something I just have to have. Not saying it isn't a good book, but it didn't jump out and scream "buy me."
