RE: The Surratt Courier
I bought the 3 volume set from the gift shop during the booth tour last weekend and have truly enjoyed reading it. I highly recommend it.
What I do NOT reccommend is driving back to SC the day of the tour. We got in our car at 6:30 am to head to the Surratt House and stayed in a bus/car until we got home that night at 1:30 am (I had a federal court trial on Monday so I needed to be home Sunday to prepare.)

Mercifully, I came out better than the Conspirators.
It was actually a pedestrian vs car case that I defended for the car driver. Free advice: do not run across traffic on a busy highway. It doesn't end well.

RE: The Surratt Courier
Just read the latest Courier! Great story about Booth's death!! Makes one rethink what we have been hearing for years!
BTW, I better buy the volumes of the past issues of the Courier ASAP!! I can only imagine what I've been missing!!

Rhatkinson,
You can purchase back issues of the Courier. I do not have mine in front of me but you can order the "best of the Courier"
I have three different sets that give various articles going back to the 70's. Several of Mr. Hall's work are included. I believe there are about 20 to a set. Can give additional info later or check with the office; 301-868-1121

RE: The Surratt Courier
Sorry, I see this was covered.
The three sets are:
The Lincoln Assassination Volume 1 of 2 1986-1999
and the same heading Volume 2 of 2.
The third volume is titled "In Pursuit of... continuing research in the field of the Lincoln Assassination"

Not me...
I was pretty good in the 2nd grade play, so it was time to move on to something new, and besides I never really cared for Shakespeare.
I can shoot my mouth off with the best of them.
Not only did I chase, but I caught the only woman that really matters to me.
So when is this "Old Enough To Know Better" supposed to kick in?

Bill, Rick - WONDERFUL article! A great read on the day of Booth's death....Did he or didn't he? You have explained in wonderful detail all the angles of Booth's death -whether at his own hands or at the hands of the search detail. Personally, I have never believed the suicide theory - but you've shown that it could make perfect sense!
Those who are NOT Surratt Society members are missing a wonderful treat! Don't miss out.... (my shameless plug!)
Thanks, ya'll!
Betty, you are correct. The Surratt Society offers so much. When I joined several years ago, I realized the value of the group and quickly upgraded to a life member. he many many historical organizations I belong to or have belonged to, the Surratt Society is the most worthwhile.
