On the last day of his life this former President spent time in the morning working on a jigsaw puzzle of George Washington.

Not feeling well he went up to his room to lay down very early in the afternoon.

Shortly thereafter, his wife found him dead on the bathroom floor adjacent to his bedroom. His cause of death was a heart attack.

Who was he?

Coolidge

So when is this "Old Enough To Know Better" supposed to kick in?

Kudos, Gene! Calvin Coolidge passed away on January 5, 1933, at the age of 60. He is buried in Plymouth Cemetery in Vermont. He is buried further north than any other President.

Roger, I read the answer before I read the question. I thought the question was going to be: What President is buried further north than any other President?

I took this in June. Just like Silent Cal - simple and dignified.

Joe, the image did not show up, at least on my computer. If possible, please send me the image via email file attachment, and I shall be glad to post it.

Many thanks to Joe Beckert for sending the photo he took. Did anyone else have trouble seeing the image he posted? (Maybe just me. I do not know.)

Thanks Roger and Joe.
I couldn't see the image either. But now see the flags showing that some people still care.

And I did note before when reading about Coolidge that he was the only president (thus far) .... Born on 4th July !
( cue for song, Gene , before I find it .... too slow, I found it

(I think President Coolidge would have liked both)

RE: Presidents and First Ladies Trivia
Roger, you write "Presidencies" so that would allow for 4 Presidencies under FDR ? Not 1?

RE: Presidents and First Ladies Trivia
Thanks for noting that, Michael. I didn't mean to say it that way...FDR counts as one as do other multiple term Presidents.

Kudos to Bill Richter! I did not think this question would be answered so soon. Yes, the correct answer is Martin Van Buren. He lived during a record 8 Presidents after he left office. (1841-1862)

Bill, you win best wishes for a long and healthy life. Gene, I thought everybody would say Jimmy Carter.
