Charles Dresser - (Lincoln Marriage, Lincoln Home)
Nice article from the Sangamon Link web site about the minister who performed the marriage ceremony for Abraham and Mary.

He also sold them the home they lived in up to 1861.

According to this article, the Abraham Lincoln Association is going to build a replica of the home as it appeared when the Lincoln's first purchased it.

So when is this "Old Enough To Know Better" supposed to kick in?

Thanks, Gene. I think that link contains the best rendering of what the Lincoln home looked like before the 1856 expansion that I have ever seen.

RE: Charles Dresser - (Lincoln Marriage, Lincoln Home)
That web site story led me to another story on the house in the July 2nd article in the State Journal Register by Bernard Shoenberg, "Plans Underway to build replica of Lincoln's Springfield cottage".

https://www.sj-r.com/news/20200702/plans...ld-cottage

An interesting sentence near the end of the article regarding Michael Burlingame -
"Burlingame has written more than a dozen books on Lincoln, with two more in the works. "Abraham Lincoln and Mary Todd: The True Story of their Troubled Marriage," is written and yet to be published. He’s also working on a book about Lincoln’s interactions with African-Americans, and the title will include a quote from abolitionist Frederick Douglass: "Emphatically, The Black Man’s President"

That first one will be interesting. I will be looking forward to when it gets published.

So when is this "Old Enough To Know Better" supposed to kick in?

I think black people will (understandably) have many quips with "Emphatically, The Black Man’s President"
'Emphatically' is too much. Do hope the author picks a better title.
