rare photo for sale
Back in 1977 I found a treasure trove in someone's home here on L.I. of Lincoln assassination-related items that had once been in the Al Emmett Fostell collection. I bought most of them. They included 1. an orig. albumen composite photo of the stage and the four boxes of Ford's Theatre, 2. letters from Thomas Jones, 3. an autographed picture of Capt. Wm. Williams, 4. one large and 3 small photos of Ford's Thea. after it collapsed, 5. a photo of Laura Keene, 6. a cabinet photo of a sketch of the Baptist church that had once stood on the site of Ford's Theatre, 7. an albumen photo of an oil painting of the inside of the Presidential box, 8. 1865 newspapers in various conditions. 9. notes letters from Sessford to Emile Rosenberger about selling some of his things including the Ford's Theatre photograph (Rosenberger was Fostell's real name!) I would like to sell the composite photo of the boxes and stage of the theatre. It was originally owned by Harry Ford, who gave it to Joseph Sessford (Ford's ticket-seller). If anyone is interested in buying it from me, please get in touch with me at emma1231@optonline.net for details! Thanx.
