Andy Williams' Death
In light of the passing of Andy Williams here is a photo of Andy in 1968 at the reopening of Ford's Theatre. He is second from left.

RE: Andy Williams' Death
I can remember my parents and grandparents watching the Andy Williams holiday specials when I was a kid. A great singer.

RE: Andy Williams' Death
I grew up listening to my parents playing his albums on our "Hi-Fi".... I've still got the albums and still got the long old mahogany "Hi-Fi" stereo.

I agree with you, Laurie - "Moon River" is also my favorite -- as a matter of fact, I have it on my iPod! Remember those Christmas shows, too!

RIP, Andy....

RE: Andy Williams' Death
I wonder if Andy Williams had Civil War ancestors? Also, since we are interested in assassination trivia concerning Lincoln-Williams was present during the murder of another political figure-RFK. Williams was friends with him-and present at the hotel where RFK was shot.

He also sang "Battle Hymn of the Republic" at Kennedy's funeral.

RE: Andy Williams' Death
Hearing his Christmas standards being played now everywhere due to the holiday season, it's hard to believe Andy Williams passed away over a year ago now. We've lost some really good people in the last year or so..."time- what an empty vapor..."
