RE: Assassination Trivia
One person who knew Booth noted the change of appearance in how JWB was dressed during the afternoon and when he entered the theater to shoot the president. The person noted that in the afternoon JWB "was dressed in the height of fashion, in the picturesque costume of the day, velvet collar and cuffs." But just before the assassination this same person observed that JWB "was wearing heavy riding boots, spurs, a blue flannel shirt, and an army slouch hat."
Who was this person? |

Was it the stableman, Pumphrey, who saw Booth when he hired the horse and, later, when he returned for the horse? Happy Independence Day, Roger, Joe |

Certainly a logical guess, Betty, but it was not him.
(Vicki and I may be the only ones left who do not have cell phones.) |

RE: Assassination Trivia
Which person who was present at Lincoln's Assassination later portrayed the Great Emancipator on film?

RE: Assassination Trivia
Good one, Betty! Being only a few of the actors lived into the film era, I'll guess Joseph Hazelton.

Great! You got it Blaine! "Battle Cry of Peace" 1915.... I'd LOVE to see a copy of this movie, but supposedly it's lost -
