How to make our kids #passionateabouthistory
A positive news article about making history exciting and fun to learn about. Smile

So when is this "Old Enough To Know Better" supposed to kick in?

Thank you for posting this Gene. We've been doing some of these things at Surratt House for forty years. Just today, our education coordinator dragged a heavy suitcase of artifacts, clothing, etc. up from the basement because she's heading into a school tomorrow to do a program on what life was like for young kids during the mid-1800s. Included in the "treasures" that she teaches with is a very popular item - a chamber pot, just one of about dozen unusual things they will talk about.

I am passing this link on to my staff and volunteers to show that their efforts do make a difference. P.S. Adults have just as much fun with some of these ideas as the kids do.
