We Lost A Legend
While this forum is not for sports, I hope an exception is allowed in this case. Boxing legend Muhammad Ali died Friday night at a hospital in Scottsdale, AZ at the age of 74. The cause of death was complications from respiratory issues. While I never got to see him fight, my thoughts are with his family during this difficult time.

He was the greatest "boxer" without a doubt, but his name is forever linked with the sport's greatest fighter. Smokin' Joe. RIP to both of them.

Thomas, I agree with you. Muhammad Ali was a great fighter. I never got the opportunity to meet him but I did watch most of his fights. To me the best boxer to ever step into the ring. He was a true sports Legend. But he was also something bigger then a boxer, he was a great humanitarian. I believe that he did more to help the civil rights movement then almost anyone else at the time. Because of his status and strong beliefs in his religion he reached millions of people world wide and spreading the word of peace. A true humanitarian.

RE: We Lost A Legend
My mother loved to listen to his fights on the radio (only few people had TV in those days).
