Separated at birth?
Many thanks to Blaine for sending this. He writes:
"This is the very best fake John Wilkes Booth image I've ever seen. Ironically, it was taken at the same photographic studio--Silsbee, Case and Company in Boston, against the very same column where JWB was leaning against twice." |

RE: Separated at birth?
Wonderful image! Do we know the identity of the man in question?

RE: Separated at birth?
Cool! I did notice the flooring was different in each one. Also, Booth has a guardrail by his legs where the other doesn't.

RE: Separated at birth?
This appears to have been taken by a "professional" photographer, who could create any kind of a dramatic setting. Each piece is move in and arranged, to suit the model. You wouldn.t happen to know the photographer, I want to have my picture taken.

RE: Separated at birth?
I never noticed how short Booth's fingers were.
Probably just an over zealous finger nail biter. So when is this "Old Enough To Know Better" supposed to kick in? |

RE: Separated at birth?
I don't think the soldier was trying to imitate Booth's pose; just the way the photog set up the short. Booth's fingers of both hands appear to be curled. The fingers certainly were not that stubby. What was that recent political comment about men with small hands...

RE: Separated at birth?
The soldier is no lightweight. He has the rank of sargeant major in the infantry. Huzzah!
