Lincoln's Blood in NEW YORK CITY!!!! :)
Hello Everyone!
Some of you may recall my post from a while back about Garrett Heater's play Lincoln's Blood that I acted in this past October. The play follows the stories of Henry and Clara Rathbone, Mary Lincoln and Elizabeth Keckley, and John Wilkes Booth and Mary Surratt leading up to and following the assassination. It has been an incredible experience to work on this production, and I believe it is a thrilling journey for the audience as well as the actors. Several people asked if there was going to be another time to see it in the future... I am so thrilled to announce that we will be going to New York City, as we have been asked to perform in the New York International Fringe Festival!!! Our show dates are this August, the 14th through the 18th: August 14th @ 9:30pm August 15 @ 2:15pm August 16th @ 6:45pm August 17th @ 2:00pm August 18th @ 8:45pm Here is the description from the FRINGENYC Website: Lincoln's Blood The Covey Theatre Company Writer: Garrett A. Heater Director: Garrett A. Heater Madness. Betrayal. Murder. The assassination of President Lincoln triggered a plethora of tragedies. Mary Todd, her modiste Elizabeth Keckley, Major Rathbone, his wife Clara, Mary Surratt, and J. W. Booth are victimized by their memories in this psychological thriller. VENUE #2: Flamboyan Theatre at the Clemente" We will be in the Flamboyan Theatre on the Lower East Side. The theatre is on Suffolk Street. We are so excited to have the opportunity to share these incredible and tragic stories with audiences in New York City. I hope to see you there for our special Off-Off-Broadway Debut!!! Any questions can be directed towards me on this message board. Xoxo, Maya June Dwyer |

From the title of the thread I thought someone had discovered actual Lincoln's blood. Guess I'm too literal at times.

What you said reminded me of something I have been meaning to post. In another thread we were discussing Lincoln's DNA and blood samples. I had posted that I would write Dr. John Sotos and ask if he had made any progress in his endeavor to find samples. So far Dr. Sotos has not responded to my letter, and it was July 14th when I wrote him. |

Hi Roger,
I am interested in Dr.Sotos's work as well. He seemed so committed and passionate about his theories. I kind of got the feeling he had simply given up. |
