RE: Who is this person?
That's actually a very good guess, Steve, but it's not Burton.
Next clue. He began collecting in 1903 Best Rob Abraham Lincoln is the only man, dead or alive, with whom I could have spent five years without one hour of boredom. --Ida M. Tarbell

RE: Who is this person?
You got it Eva. It is James Wills Bollinger. His collection, while not in the same league as the "Big Five" was quite impressive. The collection now resides in the University of Iowa. Here is part of it.
http://digital.lib.uiowa.edu/cdm/search/.../bollinger If one types "James W. Bollinger" into Google, one of the first hits is an article on Bollinger's collecting. Good job, Eva! OK, now that I've figured out how to post pictures, here is another. Who is this couple? This could either be fairly easy or somewhat difficult.

RE: Who is this person?
Steve got it right. It is James and Ruth Painter Randall (albeit a younger James). I had a feeling it was too easy.

Sorry Roger, but it's not Lewis. This person said on his initial meeting with Sandburg that there was nothing in him to suggest "incipient genius."
