April 27,1865--Emma Lazarus-VIDEO
You know her for writing “Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free." But did you know she also wrote a poem about JWB's flight from justice when she was only 17 years old? Voice by Valarie Miller who is a featured performer at Dollywood and a young lady I have known since she was a baby. (She also is my Fanny Seward, I'll post that later) To learn more visit: http://www.jewish-history.com/civilwar/lazarus.html Hope to see many of you in three weeks at Ford's 150 !! I'll be covering the event as overtly the law will allow LOL |

RE: April 27,1865--Emma Lazarus-VIDEO
There are so many great poems about Lincoln's assassination. I have collected and recorded many of them. I stumbled across this one by chance one day. I found another entitled The Dear President, by John James Piatt. I'll post it soon.
