RE: Commemorating Lincoln's Second Inaugural - 150th Anniversary
The cold may have had something to do with it, and I was happy to see some young people standing up somewhere. However, given both the ever-warming temperatures (I hope) and the public's love of murder mysteries, I suspect that the assassination events will draw bigger crowds.
April 14 is a Tuesday, and Surratt House is generally closed to the public on Tuesdays - unless we schedule in a special tour or a children's group. This year, however, I am keeping it open for tours in case we get some of the overflow from downtown.
