The midnight tour with James Swanson and the Lincoln Commemoration were both sold out in less than 10 minutes :-(
I tried on two computers and my phone and did not even get a single ticket...

That stinks! I hope to secure tickets for the Lincoln Commemoration at 9 PM on the 14th.

Nope, sorry, that is the one I tried my luck on - they opened sale for the general public at 10am; at 10:09 it was all over.
Looks like a meeting at the Portrait Gallery...

An auction thread maybe. I'm sure two tickets centre could go for up to a signed first of all ten vol. Hay/Nicolay

RE: Ford's150 Information
Angela,

Don't feel too bad, I was there, ready to go exactly at 10:00 for the Swanson tickets, but I couldn't get them either. There were only 30 to begin with and I have a feeling most, if not all of them, had already gone during the pre-sale period for society members.

I'm not sure if they are still available, but Brian Anderson does a pretty good backstage tour of Ford's. I took one a few months back and enjoyed it. They were selling tickets for his backstage tour on the 14th and 15th. If they still have some left, I'd recommend it.

This morning Fords tickets sold out in just a few minutes.
I was only able to reserve one (1) seat, in the balcony which will won't be using so first come first serve... Text or call me by phone.
My one ticket won't suffice. We'll have to settle for watching it stream live at the National Portrait Gallery.

I am event organizer for the great-great-grandchildren of Elizabeth LC. Dixon and Mary C. Kinney and Constance Kinney Gianotti who witnessed Lincoln's death and brought Mary L. back to the White House after the tragedy.

This moment in history has been an interest of mine since I was 9. This is an opportunity I do not want to miss. Confused

If I miss it I'm *****!

I think you should go for that ticket Angela. You all may see a photo on this thread of me holding a cardboard sign reading "Will work for a ticket to A Lincoln Commemoration".

Seeing the backstage area sounds so interesting - I would love do do this! Was it originally rebuilt? E.g. the passage Booth used to cross below the stage?

RE: Ford's150 Information
I'm not sure. That passage wasn't mentioned in "Restoration Of Ford's Theater"

RE: Ford's150 Information
The actual backstage area in Ford's Theatre has been modernized and I don't believe certain passages were rebuilt after the collapse. Please correct me if I'm wrong but the passage Booth took under the stage might be gone.

Dave and I also have tickets for the 5 AM tour on April 15 so I hope to see all you early risers there.

RE: Ford's150 Information
I'm hoping to meet any of you that will be at Fords on the 14th. Looking to pull an all night vigil so it would be great to have some company. I'm planning on shooting pics and video all night. You can message me as we get closer for my phone number.
Very lucky to have scored two tickets for the 9PM event. Did anyone else? Perhaps we could meet afterwards. Man they were gone FAST. Will post pics and news from the event. Just stoked to be going !!!
