Unbroken-The movie!

I have now seen this Fantastic movie for the 2nd time!It is real,gut- wrenching,inspiring,etc.I think what makes it so real to me,is that I researched my uncle's-B-24 plane[Harry the Horse] and crew,that was shot down over Austria.My article was,"A twist of fate over Austria".He was a"waist-gunner"[Staff-Sgt]and killed.I interviewed all of the living crew members to see what happened that fateful day.They were told,"No Flack-No Attack",BS.The story that moved me the most was about Max from Chicago.He boxed and defeated a Nazi guard in a POW camp!Now there is my hero!

Now,after seeing American Sniper and it's reality,I can see why Unbroken did not win over the boxoffice!Unbroken[movie] did not get into his addiction and the unacceptable abuse of his wife.

I have not seen American Sniper but plan too. Both movies have done great at the box office- but you're correct - Unbroken did not gain favor with the Academy Awards. I think it is nominated for at least one, however.

American Sniper is R rated,and Unbroken is PG13.Both movies are very good,but American Sniper hits a home run!
